Danny Butler
Danny Butler
Is fighting for the light middleweight IBO international title on Saturday in Bristol. Good undercard yet not even showing on the BoxRec schedule ?? Anyone going?
Re: Danny Butler
Not much love for Danny or Bristol it seems mate :(

BoxRec says they're all fighting TBA.taffytoon wrote:Not much love for Danny or Bristol it seems mate :(
It doesn't look like a very good show.

Shame. Massively improved fighter. Demolished Renda and systematically took Costello apart before stopping Conception and Ball in title defenses.taffytoon wrote:Not much love for Danny or Bristol it seems mate :(

Love to see Butler get more opportunities and more fights. He's a throwback and one tough SOB - to go seven with Barker at only two days notice showed plenty balls. Hopefully he can get a British title shot at lightmiddleweight.

Re: Danny Butler
He's definitely got the balls. It seems he's developing the power and accruing the skills too now. Can't tell you how impressed I was with him against Costello. Patient and clinical. He's just a totally different fighter today. I also hope he gets the opportunity to push on and go for bigger titles and challenges.black panther wrote:Love to see Butler get more opportunities and more fights. Best of luck to him he looks a new fighter.
On a side note I saw that he was beaten in a PF by a guy called Brett Flournoy, I checked to see what happened to this undefeated fighter and turns out he was murdered in 2011 only a few miles from where I live. I remember the case now but did not realise it was a boxer!
Anyway the focus should be on Danny, best of luck to him!

Re: Danny Butler
I saw him in his 6th or 7th fight at Hatton Promotion's first ever show, about 8 year ago in Birmingham from memory.
He was decent but kind of took the wrong fights and seemed to hit a bad patch. Hope he has a second run at it and does ok.

He did well. Opposition was tough but limited.
