How good is Terence Crawford?

Post by Stuarty »

I really like this guy! He seems to have it all in his locker! That finish was a cracker and instinctive! Duller me is a good fighter and he just brushed him aside! How good do you guys think he can be??

Exceptional. I think he's going to be much better at 140 than 135. Highly talented and a bit of a chameleon in the ring with his ability to change styles as and when needed. Really amazing fighter.

He's very good.

The first time I watched him was when he brutally stopped Andre Georges and I've been following him close since. Even fighting at that level there was something that stood out about him that made me think he was going to do big things and as he's fought better opponents he's continued to look special. He still has to prove that he can shine against elite opposition, which he's yet to face, but I'm confident he'll eventually do that.

Maybe Lucas M next?

Yes please! I hope so! That would be great! I thought Matthysse was better than what he got credit for tonight!

I think he is the heir to the P4P throne also he didn't even go southpaw last night which is his better stance in my opinion.

He would outclass Danny Garcia too.

He's a good fighter, a very good fighter but just how good? I'm not so sure just yet. Crawford v Garcia would be a hell of a fight.

Brilliant fighter hits. Judgement of distance from both stances is superb

He's superb, really impressive. Looked fantastic again last night & the level of his recent opposition really puts British 'world champions' to shame.

Crawford just gets better and better, the first 5 rounds were very cagey last night and Dulorme was well in the fight but Terence was just finding his range and figuring Thomas out then in the 6th BANG that right hand that first put Dulorme down was basically the one that finished him and Crawford knows how to get a guy outta there when their hurt

He seems to have it all and can easily change things if need be or can box to a plan for 12 rounds, showed he brings his underated power up to LWW too

There's something very throwback about him, right down to his whole look and demeanor. There's a resemblance with Thommy Hearns and build-wise he reminds me of Whitaker

I think he's going to be a superstar, absolutely fantastic fighter who seems to have it all.
Top 5 P4P ? I haven't checked the ratings lately, but I think he could easily be ...The way he took out the undefeated Cuban puncher he looked like a superstar in the making, no doubt, and the guy he beat last night looked like an absolute nightmare to start with, but he figured him out and it was game over.
Looking forward to seeing him take Boner down next :TU:

Class fighter and as Billy mentioned, absolutely brilliant at controlling the distance. Dulorme kept falling short with his punches but Crawford always seemed in a position to land his own. He might already be the best at 140lbs. Dulorme was a solid top 15 type of guy but he needs a top level 140lber to see how he stacks up against the best of the division. I'd love to see how he handles Matthysse.

He's awesome, loved him from the moment I saw him chop up Alejandro Sanabria.

Great win for him the other night.

Looks very very good indeed, would like to see him properly pinged (always the acid test)! Though having said that a lot easier said than done as slick movements and switch hitting makes it so hard... Big things to come!!

would Broner dare take the fight? He would be absolutely mullered by Crawford.

Only one fight at LWW so still got a lot to prove but I think he clears out the division just like he did at LW.

He's one of the very best at the moment, the comparison with Hearns goes beyond his physical resemblance. Fantastic blend of strength and accuracy and as someone else pointed out he's uncanny in his ability to control distance.

Crawford seemed to show in the first few rounds against Dulorme ,a calmness that all the great fighters have, they take a couple of rounds to figure out their opponents, they don't get flustered by giving rounds away safe in the knowledge they'll have their opponent sussed by the 3rd or 4th then they'll get to work

anyone with that kind of ring savvy/natural talent is going places - but lets not get too worked up just yet - boxing's a slippery game
