What next for Pacquiao and Mayweather?

Post by LGilsenan »

So now that its happened and Mayweather walked out with the win what do people see as each mans next step? I see it being Floyd beating Cotto again and then retiring and Manny either fighting Marquez or Terence Crawford.

Assuming no rematch (buyrate would probably be poor as most people were disappointed by this fight) I think Pac will either go for a 5th Marquez fight or maybe Kell Brook. Dunno what Floyd will do. Thurman seems like the best choice from a fan's perspective but I dunno if that fight will be "marquee" enough for him, especially for the last fight on his contract.

I'd like to see Mayweather v Cotto and for him to then call it a day and retire,as for Pacman,i think Khan or Kell Brook would be good, especially for British fans.

Pacquiao needs to go & spend more time with his money, but if he decides that his money won't get too lonely whilst he is working, he should target Kell Brook for a belt.

That would be an intriguing contest as it would confirm whether Pacquiao still has a future in the sport & it would also confirm whether Kell Brook belongs with the big boys.

As for Mayweather; he's been doing what he likes for years, so he will handpick his next payday & outclass that person & go 49-0.

My guess is that he'll pick Garcia.
