Manny's Pride

Post by Fightdoctor »

From: I am not concerned about Mayweather. I was more concerned about De La Hoya, Cotto and Margarito. Beating Mayweather is good for boxing. God wants me to win.

To: I thought I won the fight (incredulous). I took my foot off the gas in 11th/12th because I thought I was ahead. I had a torn shoulder and could not perform. We considered postponing the fight. The injury happened with 2 weeks left in camp but felt improved by fight time. The injury resurfaced in round 3.

Whatever happened to humble, no excuses Manny? And where was his spell casting mom? How do sour grapes taste on a $80 million ( minus Bob's cut, Freddie's cut, new house, back taxes and entourage expenditures; oh let's say $20 million ) plate?

I think Manny did show some humbleness... after all he got the chance to speak on mic before Bob and Freddie, and then he went along with them with the story... He said "I did my best and my best wasn't good enough." But him allowing to tell the false story, only hurt him.

From fightnews.com
"Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has accused the Nevada State Athletic Commission of sabotaging his fight against Floyd Mayweather. According to a report with video on Rappler.com, Pacquiao told reporters in his hotel room Sunday that not only was he “sabotaged” when the NSAC wouldn’t allow him to take a USADA-approved injection to relieve pain from an injury in his right shoulder, he stated that his vitamin supplements and water were withheld by the Commission from his dressing room. Pacman also suggested Mayweather was tipped off about his injury and Floyd tried to take advantage by pulling his arm during the bout. Pacquiao estimated that he was only at 60% for the fight and wants a rematch at full strength"

I am disgusted with his attitude since the final bell. He is showing a side I do not like at all and think it is doing him no favours. Plus I want to know why Freddie is not getting stick on the forums. He has gone on, and on, and on and fecking on about having the plan, his guy will win, Mayweather is scared of his guy blah fecking blah and his guy had no plan at all and no one is bringing up the lack of plan

Don't expect a nice response from Manny's fans, they have ZERO objectivity.

1. "We have a brilliant gameplan if Floyd comes to fight. And we have plan A,B,C if he runs." - Freddie Roach

2. If his shoulder got injured in Round 3, why did he have his best round in the fight in Round 4? Seems very weird. Before the fight, they were 100% ready to give Floyd his first L, and oh... he punches harder than ever.

3. Manny can't be that stupid to think they were ahead. And even if you were... Roach said, you were ready for 12 rounds of action (not really action though), and not only 10. If i were Manny, and were fighting for dozens of millions, i would still beat the dogshit out of Floyd, no matter if ahead or not. You never know about the judges.

#2 is definitely on point without a doubt.
