It appears that a great many of boxers are lining up to express their disappointment at Manny Pacquiao for shaming their sport, this is getting worse as the days go by.By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder doesn’t think too much of former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao for failing to disclose his shoulder injury well before the fight last Saturday night against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Wilder thinks Pacquiao should have not talked about the injury after the fight the way he did. Wilder believed that Mayweather was simply too good for Pacquiao in this fight, and that’s why he won it, not because of Pacquiao’s shoulder injury that he came into the fight with.
Wilder doesn’t think that boxing fans want to see a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao. I think Wilder is wrong. A lot of fans would like to see a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao once Pacquiao’s shoulder injury heals up. Enough fans believe that Pacquiao lost because of the shoulder injury for them to want to see the two of them get back inside the ring for another fight.
Wilder has a lot of respect for Pacquiao as a fighter, but he thinks he made a mistake in bringing up his shoulder injury after the fight the way he did.
“He earned it. Floyd’s been on top for a long time. He’s one of the best in his division,” Wilder said via wnsp.com. “His ability to adapt to fighters is unbelievable. His defense is one of the best, and I’ve been telling people that.”
Mayweather won his 48th consecutive fight without a loss. The bout was supposed to be a competitive one, and it was for about six rounds. In the second half of the fight though, Pacquiao didn’t have any answers for what Mayweather was doing, and the fight subsequently got away from the aging star.
“I think he could’ve kept his excuse about the injury – even if it may be true – (to himself.),” Wilder said. “He definitely (deceived). He ought to be ashamed of himself because a lot of people bet on him. When you’re giving up your hard-earned money, that’s nothing to play around with. No one wants to see (Mayweather-Pacquiao II). While Floyd won convincingly, that was that.”
Mayweather already said he won’t bother fighting Pacquiao again. If he keeps his word then that’ll be it between them. If he changes his mind then the two of them we’ll be able to make a lot of money next year when/if Pacquiao’s surgically repaired shoulder heals. Pacquiao might not be the toughest test for Mayweather, but he’s the one that fight fans want to see face him.

Wilder is fighting Eric Molina, so he's in a poor position to be handing out abuse.
Re: WILDER DISSES PACQUIAO
I agree that he is fighting another nobody but he is spot on about Pacquiao.Horse wrote:Wilder is fighting Eric Molina, so he's in a poor position to be handing out abuse.

Re: WILDER DISSES PACQUIAO
Why would they ask Wilder's opinion?
Surely they could find a real pro boxer to ask?

Wilder is a real pro but he is a highly suspect one and definitely not one to really be talking ish even if he is telling the truth.punchoutsb wrote:Why would they ask Wilder's opinion?
