Now that's how it's done!

This guy is undoubtedly the next #1 p4p star. He's got it all.

RG is a beast :bag:

I'd like to see him fight Ruenroeng next if an Estrada rematch isn't happening yet.

Inoue is the dream bout but I suspect that comes in 2016 (given Inoue has had hand injuries all of this year). I know the Thai's in charge of Nawaphon were pushing for him to get a mandatory shot at Roman so that could be a stay busy defense until the Amnat/Casimero winner or Estrada becomes available.

Great performance and the type of thing that allows more fans to see why some of us are so damned excited about the little men right now.

Roman has been one of the top boxers in the sport for some years now. It's just now he is getting some exposure. Good for him because he deserves it :TU:

First time I have ever seen Gonzalez fight. Pretty impressed. I don't know if it's the size flyweight. Gonzalez seems to fight at a ultra fast speed. Or should I say his hand speed is lighting fast.. Hopefully they show more of him.

I think it safe to say they will crowd was going nuts for him despite being his first trip to the states.

I was glad to hear the reception he got from the crowd. They applauded Sosa too but it was at another level for Gonzalez, and he gave the type of entertaining performance that is likely to win him more support.

Yep.

I think they should do another Chocolatito/GGG double in the future.

My only concern for a Roman - Inoue fight is that I suspect Inoue is (at least) a full weightclass above Gonzalez. Not sure at what weight it might happen but I think Gonzalez would be giving quite an advantage away if he went up to 115 to face him. I think he would be significantly outweighed in the ring. It looks like Inoue may well end up at 118 or even north of there.

It was good to see Roman for the first time, it'll be good to watch him regularly - he's a very classy attacking boxer - he showed a lot of style after the stoppage too.

I complained on these boards about RG being included on some P4P lists because he's never been big enough to be on TV and fights in a division that is impossible to market to the masses.

I'll admit, i'm probably wrong about this one. I really enjoyed watching him last night. Yeah, he was fighting a boxer who's already started his post fight career and was probably his last fight but not only was his skill level impressive, he's got that big smile and is a good looking kid. Seems like he genuinely cares about the health of the people he demolishes in the ring. I think that HBO may have made a nice little move signing this kid. I like him a lot and i was wrong for sure.

I look forward to seeing him again.

It WASN'T his first fight in the US just his first on HBO.

Inoue's father/trainer has suggested 126 will be as high as he ends up. There was some light chatter about a Bantamweight bout with Yamanaka though both effectively said "not yet, different weights... Maybe in the future"

There is no one to remotely challenge Roman in that division. He's gotta go up a division or he will die from boredom.
