OK I am serious here and am genuinely confused so take it easy on me.
GGG is the Interim WBC champ, and Cotto and Geale are fighting for the WBC Middleweight title.
Now what is the purpose of the interim title?
I thought it was originally used when a Holder was incapacitated for a while and the interim holder was meant to get a shot when the champ was fit to defend again.
It just seems so stupid that GGG fights for the interim title when two guys who are obviously inferior fight for the regular title.

In other words, the Interim title is useless and is only in place for fees.

Boxing is corrupt. It takes advantage of the casual fan. People who know little about boxing want to see a title fight. The average guy in the casino doesn't know a Rubio from a Golovkin. That's the honest answer. He just wants to see who he is told is the best.
