Celebrity net worth has his total net worth as $400M. It isn't necessarily how much money you make, but what you do with that money. We'll see how much he has left in 10 years.

His career earnings are 630 million. The Great John L wrote:Celebrity net worth has his total net worth as $400M. It isn't necessarily how much money you make, but what you do with that money. We'll see how much he has left in 10 years.
Taking out percentage for trainers managers and etc.
Not including taxes. It has to be considerably less.
So if he is in fact worth 400 million he made some decent investments already.
Or the website you just quoted is full of crap

Actually, there is virtually no way to know someone’s net worth the US unless they are an elected official, and even that gets squirrely. And boxing has always been particularly difficult since the actual payouts made to fighters are seldom anywhere near what is published in the media.tiny_acres wrote:His career earnings are 630 million. The Great John L wrote:Celebrity net worth has his total net worth as $400M. There are several sites that publish net worth figures, and they are usually consistent, but as I noted, no one can actually know the net worth of another individual.
It’ll be interesting to see what he has left in 10 years.

I don't think he'll be broke, but if he's only got 1% of May 2s purse left, he will still be a millionaire. If i had his money, damn... it would be very hard to spend it all, even over a timespan like 30 years. Im not saying Floyd is smart, but he can't be dumb enough to spend it all & end up broke. Can't imagine that. The Great John L wrote: It’ll be interesting to see what he has left in 10 years.

If he keeps betting on sports as much as he does (HUGE wagers on insignificant games) Mayweather might very well be broke in 10 years.
He brags about all the wagers he's won, but keeps mum on the millions he's lost.
That boy doesn't know what to do with all his dinero.

Yes, see my previous post directly above yours. In addition, announced contract amounts don't always reflect the actual gross amount paid before deductions, especially when it comes to payments based upon gate and broadcast receipts.fergusg wrote:I think you need to take into consideration that a boxer usually has deductibles from their gross fight purse...

• Manager/Advisor (the legal limit is 33.3%)
• Promoter’s fees (depending if a fighter competes on an event promoted by a promter other than the one they’re contracted to)
• Trainer
• Cut-man
• Strength & Conditioning coach
• Sanctioning fees
• Income tax (40% of the net figure after the above expenses)
• State Tax (not applicable in Nevada, but does apply in most states and is roughly 8.82%)
To give you an example of what I mean, Sergey Kovalev claimed that he was left with only $125K from the $500K he was paid to face Bernard Hopkins.
Therefore, imagine how much money Floyd Mayweather Jr. would have had to have earned in order to amass a personal fortune of at least $400m?![]()
I recall reading that Kovalev had to compensate the person or people who brought him over from Russia.

If Holyfield and Tyson can go broke anybody can, Floyd gambles big and over the long haul that is a good way to get rid of a lot of money.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:I don't think he'll be broke, but if he's only got 1% of May 2s purse left, he will still be a millionaire. He'll be a Billionaire before that, Warren Buffett is working with both him and LeBron to make them that way. Please don't be upset when it's announced that he is a Billionaire while the average joe is just living from paycheck to paycheck. The Great John L wrote:Celebrity net worth has his total net worth as $400M. Technically sure, but i don't think Floyd will behave that way, he's a businessman. Holyfield & Tyson didn't have $50M paydays & didt earn much outside of boxing aswell. Not saying its not going to happen, but i believe Floyd must pull something, very, very stupid to get rid of these massive amounts of $$$. He can gamble and lose $100,000 every week, for the next 10 years, and he would still have 60% of his May 2 purse left. And doesn't he have a untouched bank account with $120 million left?palooka wrote:If Holyfield and Tyson can go broke anybody can, Floyd gambles big and over the long haul that is a good way to get rid of a lot of money.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:I don't think he'll be broke, but if he's only got 1% of May 2s purse left, he will still be a millionaire.
