Well done to Hank, I guess Gans isn't very highly rated in the sim :witzend: two KO losses to Armstrong now and one to Ken Buchanan.

Well, Whitaker took it out of him early on. Can't expect much from him...he's damaged goods.

Whitaker takes candy from a Kid this week.

Duran and Leonard was a barnstormer....I scored it for Duran in this case.....but 2 judges saw it different.

Duran hasn't won one close fight this year. I could accept a draw here, but honestly don't see how Leonard won. He bombed out the last three rounds. Usually an even points round is 10-10. One judge gave it to Leonard, where he won by one. The last round, Leonard got on the board right at 3:00 with a good cross. Looks like the only punch he landed all round and he won it on a judges card?!? Both those guys had Leonard winning by a point.

Duran has had a great season, so I can't complain. I just don't see how the man can't win a close fight.......

Hats off to Leonard, I guess. He fought well, I just don't think he was a winner here.....

You have a righteous beef Armageto although to be fair both of Leonard's losses this year were bizarre also, one coming on a head butt stoppage with Camacho.

Lewis did marginally better than I'd anticipated, taking at least 5 rounds on all of the judges cards (impressed by pure volume I guess) and making a solid (if scrappy) fight of it after a pretty awful round 2. He's mostly done alright against the A-list guys without being able to go the extra % to actually beat one yet.

Another DRAW with Canzoneri & MacFarland! This brings the series to 1-1-2

I knew it would be close but damn I thought Canzoneri had the edge this time because he was boxing beautifully and he was defending well.
Canzoneri's constant movement can be frustrating to an opponent who's not capable of cutting off the ring on him
Canzoneri darts in and out, making himself a tough target
Canzoneri uses subtle movement and a tight guard protecting his body as McFarland tries vainly to score
I thought it was 4 rounds to 2 in favor of my guy after 6 and it was looking good until Packey trapped Tony in the corner and his punching power became a factor and then the cut happened :witzend: Canzoneri seemed to fall apart after the cut and feeling the power of those punches
Canzoneri is blocked in his opponents corner... McFarland throws a punch and lands
McFarland has Canzoneri trapped! Canzoneri absorbs a cross to the body
Tony Canzoneri is forced into his opponents corner...McFarland lands a hard hook,That punch may have stunned Canzoneri momentarily * That punch has opened a cut on Canzoneri.
McFarland has Canzoneri trapped in the right neutral corner. McFarland doubles up on the jab and he managed to score with the second one
...and another..
Canzoneri moves into the near right corner. McFarland lands a brutal uppercut!
Every time Packey got in close or got Canzoneri in the corner I was biting my nails hoping for Canzoneri to hold on and to my surprise, he did. He also stole the last 2 rounds to at least get a draw. Another great fight :yay:

Agreed another great fight :box: . I thought Canzoneri just nicked it by a round but looks like we need to do this again before the season ends to get a winner.
