Is AJ deffo fighting 18th July?

I hear talk that the fight on 18th July for joshua might now be uncertain. Im about to buy tickets for the 18th show with the intension of AJ showing up and fighting. I dont want to buy a ticket and AJ pull out of the show for a fight a week or 2 later.

It`s the best non PPV sky show Hearn has put on if you look at the card as a whole imo and if I lived near Manchester I would be getting a ticket.He would be fighting a knock over job anyway so his fight doesn't really add much to the show at all.If Joshua being on it was the main reason for getting a ticket I would wait until a couple of weeks before the event and see what Hearn is saying about Joshua`s involvement.I think there is a good chance that they will skip this date and go straight to September which would save allot of grief about another bum being brought over and with him having basicly 3 knock over jobs in a row quite recently would be the best thing imo

Its obvious his next proper step up is September so if he does fight in July it'll be a pointless 2 round knock over (similar to the Love fight being just before Johnson we all knew Johnson was his next proper opponent.

Its a really good good in fairness but if you buying tickets or not depends on AJ fighting a pointless opponent then best of luck

I want to see joshua fight. So I would rather wait until he faces someone worth note. Also I want to get to the next Warrington fight which has just been announced

Leeds do love a bit of criminal damage though if it goes wrong I'd expect the arena to be wrecked.

Joshua pulls out of July 18 fight

Unbeaten 2012 Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist Heavyweight Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13 KOs) has pulled out of a July 18 fight at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. No opponent had been named for the fight. Joshua will now focus on a “major title bout” on September 12 at The O2 in London. He is rumored to be facing Mariusz Wach.

Replacing Joshua on July 18 is former middleweight contender Martin Murray in his second fight in the super middleweight division. The card also features a pair of world title fights as Scott Quigg defends his WBA “regular” super bantamweight title against former IBF champion Kiko Martinez and WBA “regular” lightweight champion Darleys Perez defends against Anthony Crolla.
