Anybody else bewildered by the plaintive piano refrain they use as part of the theme music?

I accept that Alex Steedman comes across as a slightly timid chap who possibly bakes his own bread and has an ongoing photo album labelled 'Inspiring Sunsets' but I still maintain that two bars of sensitive ivory tinkling doesn't resonate with the sport of fistic face-bashing.

It's more Clayderman than Clay.
More Bruce Hornsby than Darrin Van Horn.
More Manilow than Manny Pac.
More Billy Joel than Joel Casamayor.
More Elton John than Chris John.
More Randy Newman than Randy Neumann.
More Gilbert O' Sullivan than John L.

I know, I was joshing about Mr Steedman, he's a class act. My wife saw him on the show and said he had 'kind eyes' which tickled me somewhat.

Steedman seems like a nice guy & is a very good presenter/interviewer. I used to really hate the brown tweed jacket thing he used to wear at B0xnati0n live shows though.

He's a bit of a fashion victim but he's very funny and engaging. Great presenter and really knows boxing too.

I like Steedman for someone whos playign the presenter role rather than the expert he does know his stuff,

I really like Boxing Matters (missing it at min) my only very slight gripe is that its recorded on a Thursday and shown on the Monday meaning stuff from the weekend is obviously missed.
