I was hoping with Pac and Floyd's careers coming to a close that nutthuggers would disappear.
Well Ikorolov you have ruined this with the GGG nut gargling

I think we've hit peak current scene.
Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
The worst excuse definitely has to be Canelo, for saying there is no competition at 160, and no one poses any threat to him.
Is he that dumb or just that arrogant?

He is insane.GGG would give him more competition then he knows how to handle.Badhusker wrote:The worst excuse definitely has to be Canelo, for saying there is no competition at 160, and no one poses any threat to him.![]()

Canelo arguably has 3 loses already.

Interesting that David Lemieux and Andy Lee both want to do their middleweight mandatories, but Cotto doesn't #GGG

considering lee's "mandatory" would be a limerick fight with billy joe saunders, pretty much the oneikorolev wrote:Tom Loeffler @TomLoeffler1 6h6 hours ago

fight lee would pick for himself, that is not a surprise. who is lemieux's mandatory? if lemieux's
mandatory is anyone legitimately in the top 10, wouldn't it just be better for him to lose to GGG
in a unification bout for more money, while still maintaining his cred by losing to the top guy,
than to lose to another rubio type fringe contender? i doubt GGG would take step aside money
from cotto, so cotto is going to vacate. either way, GGG will have cotto's title. if GGG held all
the titles, that would set up a bottleneck at middleweight and any big fight in the division would
have to involve him, and at that point he may draw the top guys from neighboring divisions.

There are only 9 names in the poll. What about all the rest of the fighters who have avoided GGG?
Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
First of all, boxrec polls allow only 10 options. Second: these are current top middleweights who haven't fought GGG and other top picks for GGG.bogan whisperer wrote:There are only 9 names in the poll. What about all the rest of the fighters who have avoided GGG?
If you think if I missed somebody who would surpass current poll "leaders", please name them.
P.S. I know that N'Dam received multiple offers from Loefler at different times, but after his loss to Lemieux, he is not anywhere close to the "most wanted list".

Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
Anthony Mundine's management didn't even attend the purse bid. Golovkin's manager said GGG would fight Mundine in Mundine's own backyard and he could use his family for judges. But nothing. Not even an answer from the Mundine camp.ikorolev wrote:First of all, boxrec polls allow only 10 options. Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
Right. No fighter with a name seemed to want to fight Golovkin for the vacant WBA title in 2010-2011. However, it is ancient history. Mundine is not a person of interest now. For similar reasons, I didn't include Geale, Chavez, Martinez, Barker and other former duckers. Maybe, I shouldn't have included Sturm for the same reason, but his ducking lasted for years starting with the time when he shared the same promoter with Golovkin, so I made an exception for him.bogan whisperer wrote:Anthony Mundine's management didn't even attend the purse bid. Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
Geale defended his IBF title against Mundine in preference to fighting GGG initially and made a couple of $million in the process. Geale later fought GGG. Hard to point the finger at a guy that fought GGG when others made excuses and never have.ikorolev wrote:Right. Correct, so he is not a person of interest anymore, especially after the Cotto fiasco.

Worst excuses are worst excuses. Time doesn't make them better.ikorolev wrote:Correct, so he is not a person of interest anymore, especially after the Cotto fiasco.
Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
It is strange to see that Jacobs got no votes. A "regular" WBA "champion" who doesn't want to become "super" champion ? What is his excuse ? Instead of fighting Golovkin or somebody else remotely decent like another Haymon ducker, Quillin, he gives a title shot to Mora ???
Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
Mayweather doesn't need an excuse not to fight anyone, he's one of the greatest of all time, and whatever's left is icing on the cake.
I wanted him to lose to Corrales, but he didn't. I wanted him to lose to Castillo, but he didn't and even gave him a rematch. I wanted him to lose to Hatton. I wanted him to lose to DLH. I wanted him to lose to Cotto. I wanted him to lose to Manny.
This isn't about being a fvcking "nuthugger" (why do boxing boards always have have homosexual undertones?) it's about realizing Floyd fvcking Mayweather jr. Is one of the best fighters ever.
As to the rest, they'll fight GGG when there's enough money.

Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
How can Andre Ward not be an option? He's clearly got the most creative excuse for not fighting GGG. He's so delusional that he's come out saying that GGG is ducking him. LOL. That's hilarious. GGG has come out in response letting everyone know how pathetic Ward is. No response from Ward so it has to be true.
Of all the possible opponents, I think Cotto would give GGG the toughest fight. His speed and footwork would be unique and that left hand of his could actually give GGG all that he could handle. Canelo? Ward? Bradley? All three wouldn't make it to the final bell. Ward's already hit the canvas in his career by a mediocre fight at best, there's no way he takes GGG's onslaught.
It's pretty pathetic in this day and age of boxing where the best boxer in the world not only can't get anyone to fight him but is also criticized for his resume. People are so stupid. This guy is fighting 3, sometimes 4 times a year, knocking everyone out but is still slighted for not getting the biggest fights. Wake up. Idiots.

Agree with the latter - I think if he keeps on smashing over whoever is available fighting 4 times a year, and keeps calling people out, the public will buy into him - fans like fighters who are busy and who destroy their opponents, they won't be megafights, but that's about the only way I see him getting the fights he wants.Bobbyptsd wrote:Mayweather doesn't need an excuse not to fight anyone, he's one of the greatest of all time, and whatever's left is icing on the cake.

Yes, this nuthugger stuff is really boring - and only happens on the current scene, which unfortunately seems to have more than it's fair share of dysfunctional characters.
Re: Who has the worst excuse for not fighting GGG ?
Didn't GGG fight at 165 and Ward 175 in the amateurs? I don't get why either one is hesitant to move up. I'm sure both are pretty solid at those weights.
