Browne: Dereck Chisora is a liar. Show me the contract!
World heavyweight title contender Lucas Browne (22-0, 19 KO’s) has always enjoyed hurting people. The heavy-handed Australian has been mentioned along the likes of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, WBA World champion Ruslan Chagaev, and Wladimir Klitschko, who holds three of the four major belts, including the WBA Super belt.
The 36-year old known as ‘Big Daddy’ is a danger to anyone in the division who he can lay his hands on. You add another fighter on the list that he would like to decapitate personally.
Former title contender Dereck Chisora (20-5, 13 KO’s) is back in the news, and he’s not making any friends.
Chisora is trying to keep himself relevant in the sport, but this desperate move may cost him dearly.
According to Lucas Browne, Chisora has accused him of rejecting $150,000 to fight him.
Browne took to Twitter, where he essentially called Chisora a liar.
“So, Chisora says he’s offered me $150k to fight him and I said no??? Why would I refuse such an easy KO like that? Show me the contract, brother,” Browne stated on Twitter.
Browne is scheduled to fight to take on Argentinian Gonzalo Omar Basile on August 14th for the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.
Meanwhile, Chisora fights Beqa Lobjanidze on Friday. Lobjanidze has lost three times this year alone against the likes of Dillian Whyte, Otto Wallin, and Robert Helenius. They all knocked out Lobjanidze.

Re: Browne calls Chisora out as a liar over $150k contract claim
Hatton may well have been offered $150k for Chisora to fight Browne, so Chisora could try and steal his Chagaev mandatory
Of course Hatton would say no. Why risk the mandatory?
Duco could have offered him close to the same amount to fight Parker (they've offered something..), and the fight would be refused for the same reason.
Browne didn't know about it - so what? There's a reason fighters need promoters.
Good guys like Browne will fight everyone and could miss out on their title shot. Great for fight fans, but maybe not him.
Not saying it's right - just saying
Browne is doing a good job of getting his name out lately, and is putting a lot of time into his social media

Team Browne's priority though all of what has gone on in recent times appears to be that mandatory title shot he has secured. They have let the Commonwealth title go and for all we know Hatton could have turned down any number of opponents who might potentially have derailed that title shot.lowlefthand wrote:Hatton may well have been offered $150k for Chisora to fight Browne, so Chisora could try and steal his Chagaev mandatory
