The sparring partners of Jerry Quarry

Post by Caractacus »

Who were the sparring partners that Jerry Quarry had used over the course of his boxing career?
Particularly his regular sparring partners and ones brought in when he was getting ready for a big fight.

I had read that he used Ed "Boss Man" Jones when he was getting ready to fight Muhammad Ali for the first time
back in 1970.

I had also read sowhere that even before the first fight in 1969 for the title,
that Jerry Quarry had previously sparred with Joe Frazier
at the Main Street Gym in Los Angeles around 1965.
sounds interesting will have to look for more details concerning that.

dave centi was a sparring partner of quarry, jerry was hard on sparring partners, he was guilty of making his brother mike's brains mush.

rick farris tells of his cruelty to his brother. he really gave it to him for years.
