I posted regarding this the other day, Khan is extremely close with the Dubai Royal Family and this could be negotiated pretty easily i'd have thought!
Certainly no shortage of cash in Dubai and Khan has also just revealed he is opening an Amir Khan boxing academy over there.
Another member did however mention the China element and that possibly this could make better money if staged over there. :-?
I think this would be a great matchup and would love to see this happen in Dubai next year

I hope it happens and I don't care where it does, Khan left Haymon because he thought he was going to get the Floyd fight but he talked himself out of that bout by being insulting.

Loma will face Rigo, the details will be worked out.

Is there really much appetite for boxing in Dubai though - ?

I can't imagine how the fight would be bigger there than at the MGM grand, or In Manilla where Pacquiao is more famous than God, or in China where there's as much money as you can shake a stick at, and the gambling market is vast.

Sure, there's loads of money in Dubai, but what on earth is in it for the Royal Family - they don't really need the money, and there's really sod all for them to gain from staging the fight there. It seems that you are rather enamoured of this idea, but I just don't see how it works in practical terms, especially as there's a very poor pay TV market in the middle east.

I think it's a prestige thing. Like Ali fighting in Manila, Marcos got a real kick out of hosting the fight.

Yes, I suppose there is that - but it's not like Dubai lacks prestige - Manilla at that time was a Pariah state and a dictatorship....whilst Dubai is in effect a dictatorship of sorts, being a Feudal Monarchy, it certainly is not a Pariah state.

Unless they are going to drop a tonne of Money just to flatter their own egos (quite possible I suppose) - the fight will go elsewhere.

Could well happen. There's some precedent for it. They (not sure if same people exactly, but same country) managed to convince (read pay) Formula 1 to change the final race of the season to Abu Dhabi (had been Brazil for years previous) and to make the race worth double points last year as well. This is despite there not being any appreciable motorsport heritage in the UAE.

Pac and Khan is a good match, but there is no need for Broner-Porter II. Absolutely no need.

I still do not see Khan getting a fight with Pac.Pac has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
No way this fight happens.

It is a bit risky for Pacman - if he loses, he's kind of done as an elite level fighter.

Surely makes more sense for him to knock a couple of stiffs about and go for a bigger payday, I'd say he could probably fight Marquez one last time and make good money.

I can find no evidence of Khan leaving Haymon.
Is there any proof?

I can't imagine Pacquiao being ready to fight in January. Iirc David Haye had almost identical surgery to a rotator cuff in November 2013 and only just recently started full training/sparring/gym work.

Sorry, I couldn't watch the whole video. Is this guy legit? We are supposed to take his word for it?

I will wait for a credible source. What a joke.

He owns and runs the Boxing Socialist website, he is very credible, talks with Arum regularly on speeddial, is personal friends with Mayweather.

I'll believe Khan's off Haymon's roster when I see it. As for Dubai - again, believe it when I see it. Been hearing about the emirate being a host to fights ever since they started the building boom and barely anything has ever happened.

Haymon probably told Khan no way to a fight with a TR guy. Fight Spence, Thurman, Porter, or Brook.
