Burns likes to visit the canvas a lot but he's never looked like staying down, even when Johannson had him down a couple times with sickening body shots OUCH
Re: Best Chin In British Boxing?
Martin Murray springs to mind.
I seriously doubt anyone else at middleweight can go 11 with GGG.

Apart from being dropped by Tim Bradley I don't ever recall seeing Junior Witter hurt in a fight over the last 7 or 8 years. Always hard to hit clean mind you.

And even when Beltran broke his jaw early. Comes across quite shy but a very tough man.handsofstone wrote:Burns likes to visit the canvas a lot but he's never looked like staying down, even when Johannson had him down a couple times with sickening body shots OUCH

I know he's not British but Lebedev has some chin on him

Unflinchingly, too. Was something seeing him take Enzo's Sunday punches.palooka wrote:Ola Afolabi can take some hammer.

It must be a wonderful feeling as a boxer, to not have to be nervous when punches are flying in.orbtastic wrote:Unflinchingly, too. Was something seeing him take Enzo's Sunday punches.palooka wrote:Ola Afolabi can take some hammer.

That's a sickener! I throw my toys out the pram when Jeff Stelling humps my coupon at twenty to five on a Saturday and that's only usually around a sixty quid return give or take lol.Glass Joe wrote:100 was just over 8/1 early odds.smiling assassin wrote:how much did you put on mateGlass Joe wrote:gutted had murray losing on points against GGG. would of won nearly a grand. got too greedy and should of cashed out

Amir Khan
Re: Best Chin In British Boxing?
100%. And it's one of the most fascinating aspects of the sport to watch a lad with the ability to take a punch, something that can't be taught. Sometimes you just sit there thinking how the hell is he still standing!? That punch would've killed me!palooka wrote:It must be a wonderful feeling as a boxer, to not have to be nervous when punches are flying in.orbtastic wrote:Unflinchingly, too. Re: Best Chin In British Boxing?
A bit off the subject but from the fairly recent past I'd nominate Denis Andries. You would have needed a sledge hammer to put him down, and by the way, he'd get back up.

It has to be Kell brook, not visited the floor 35-0
Re: Best Chin In British Boxing?
Hasn't been tested by the best in the world though. Senchenko shook him. I do think hes a tough lad though and does have a decent chin on him.hoot wrote:It has to be Kell brook, not visited the floor 35-0

Given a count and his glove looks to touch in the first round against Karl David. Check around 3:58...hoot wrote:It has to be Kell brook, not visited the floor 35-0

Stuart hall. Took any amount of punches every fight I've seen him in. Seems to like getting punched.

Denton Vassell.
Looked out on his feet last few fights but keeps going. Too brave for his own good.

Sam Eggington looks a tough man, has he had a count against him? He's been in with a few decent hitters and not seemed too bothered.
Liam Smith looks solid as well, I've seen him smacked a few times and he just gets on with his own boxing, I think he's got a good chin.
