I also think the same thing but ...jamesmcdonnell wrote:I'm going for Cotto, a whole lot of experience, and the better technical boxer.
I don't think Canelo is going to be able to just overwhelm him, and I think Cotto has the better overall skillset. Cotto is tough, and he is a fighter through and through.
It was a while ago now, but I'm sure I remember Canelo getting shaken momentarily by Cotto's brother or cousin, can't remember exactly what relation. Not saying that will have any bearing on this fight of course, Canelo clearly has an excellent chin.Evander wrote:I also think the same thing but ...jamesmcdonnell wrote:I'm going for Cotto, a whole lot of experience, and the better technical boxer.

Canelo is a proper hitter and as likely as it is that Cotto can pull off the slick stuff what happens when they get into bandit country [Rounds 9-12].
Also it may be worth thinking about exactly who has a better chin here, Cotto is seasoned no doubt but I've rarely seen Canelo so much as shaken by a punch.
Finally if either of them will come in bigger after the weigh in it sure isn't going to be Cotto.
