The fight to watch is not Bute-Di Luisa, but Alvares -Ranoni Prieto. This should be a hell of a fight, now Alvares is completely healed from his injuries

Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
Bute was good in his prime. He slipped a little by the Froch fight and that beating effectively ended his high level career.
Never seen Di Luisa so I'm looking forward to tuning in today and watching.

Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
froch did such a number on him it was surprise he fought on. i worry the same about george groves
Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
Bute is a -3500 favorite. Which means one thing. Di Luisa sucks.
Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
2/5 bute ko. 11/5 decision or td. that is what i was thinking ,looks like di luisa has been down a few times in his careerdiddy wrote:Bute is a -3500 favourite. Which means one thing. Di Luisa sucks.
Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
Bute likely stops this guy. Bute is shot at top level but we are talking a massive gulf in class here.

Nice little scrap so far. Prieto is a brute, Alvarez is already feeling and getting wary of his power. Alvarez definitely has the speed and is more technically sound.

It was ruled a slip.
Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
LOL at the commentators; it was clearly ruled a slip.
Alvarez was rocked in the first and third but is doing well now.

Hurt again
Alvarez isn't giving me much confidcence in his ability to take shots from people like Kovalev, Stevenson, and Beterbiev.

Prieto stung him pretty badly in the sixth. Alvarez hanging on and tackled him down...looked like Prieto hit his head on the canvas and slowed down.
If Prieto doesn't tire, I like his chances at a stoppage here. Alvarez doesn't like his shots.

Crooked Canadian home ref is letting Alvarez hold (and even tackle) Prieto as much as he wants.

Prieto is tired this round. Alvarez doesn't seem confident in himself.

Alvarez looks so open to that big right over the top hook

Prieto looks like he has some heavy hands, but I agree.crusader wrote:Hurt again

The more telling issue is that he's consistently getting hit by Prieto, who is swinging like a bar room brawler. I can't see him beating any of the three you mentioned.

Re: Lucian Bute v Andrea Di Luisa
Prieto looks really tired now. Not as much on his punches and no where near the activity or aggression.
