To Ko123,
It isnt hard to make a proffessional debut. All you realy have to do is prove to the athletic commission that you can handle yourself in the ring(sparring). Some athletic commisions are a bit more strict than others. I dont reccomend turning pro without amateur experience. There are some straight killers in the pros. Dont get me wrong, there are killers in the amatuers but at least they match you up with simmilar records. You realy should develop good skills a strong neck and strong abs in the amatuers. I reccomend at least 30-40 amatuer fights with some national and international experience and try to evaluate yourself at that point. I only have 6 fights but i have the gym experience of about 40 fights, I was told that by Chris Byrd. I am going to make a run at nationals this year and then evaluate if i will turn pro or not. One of my sparring partners has about 120 fights and he made it to the olympic box offs this year(Dominic Chavez) He realy helps me out alot He is 1-0 as a pro. And his brother Avalino Had about 50 amatuer fights and he is 11-0 with 7 kos as a pro so you should train with guys like that to try and gauge where you will stand. Good luck to you

that is some good advice my david, but it depends alot on your age and ringmenship..I only had 12 amateur fights and turned pro at 28, because I didn't start boxing till I was 22. In texas it is pretty easy to get a license just call up your state boxing commision and they can help you. But having a good manager helps so they can match you up with someone who has about as much ring exprience as you..by you asking this question it seems as if you don't have a coach or manager who as dealt with pro boxers before, I would strongly recommened getting one for at least your first fight or few.
