Tyson Fury V Wladimir Klitschko ,will it or won't it happen ?!

Post by CiganoBoxer »

Anyone notice although there is a new date yet strange it hasn't been picked up by sky yet an promoted yet ?

I lost £750 in flight money to Wladmir an his poxy fake injury that happened on his private jet ,i spoke to someone from team fury yesterday ,as we didn't wanna loose anymore money, I asked them if it would be safe to rebook new flights for the new fight date in november ?
I was told don't do it yet ! , as they have heard rumblings that Wladimir might postpone again or might even give up the title that Fury is mandatory for :witzend: ...so at the minute i will probably get a refund on my three fight tickets costing near £1000 ,the £750 flight ticket money is all but gone bar £130 i can't claim back ...fornicating joke or what !

Anyone heard anything ?

95% sure it will happen. Eventim have already locked in the new date. No reason why Klitschko would not face Tyson in my books.

It should happen. Can't blame the Fury's for being paranoid, though.

Didn't Tyson claim that he wasn't Batman?

I mean, the fact that Batman turned up at the press conference might just be a coincidence.

Unless Wlad became an old man over the course of his training camp, there's no reason he'd duck Fury. Anyone else read that laughable column from Bunce in the Indy the other week? He claimed that Wlad looked scared, and, even more laughably, claimed that the same thing happened when he was supposed to fight Delboy!

Ironically I bet the Fury camp are half hoping he doesn't fight and vacates the belt instead. Fury as a world champion would have far more bargaining power and would earn far more for even fairly routine defences against decent domestic rivals than he would here as a challenger to Klitschko. That said, I feel for Fury. He's being heavily messed around time after time and deserves to have had a title shot by now.

Bute v Degale on SS1 - happy to pay for this fight but seems odd that you're essentially getting just the main fight for £20 or whatever it'll be...

Yeah, weird decision really - although obviously people will only buy the PPV for the Fury fight anyway, you'd have thought they'd bundle the shows together to give the illusion of value for money?

Put it one way, I will buy the PPV but not until the day of the fight.

I certainly wouldn't be booking flights and hotels etc.

I don't know why, but I am not 100% convinced it is going to happen (I hope I am wrong though).

I have taken a hit and rebooked flights, hotel was able to be moved at no cost and tickets are still valid.

I am definitely concerned given what happened with Haye, but that was a non-title, non eliminator fight ... Wlad would have to give up 2 belts if he vacated as Fury is mandatory for two.

And obviously Chisora pulled out fight week in their eliminator, but that was successfully rescheduled.

I have had ringside tickets to all 3 events and lost out on 2 and had to rebook for the third, pending it happening so I can understand paranoia from anyone - but I think it will happen. There are too many involved parties with 55,000 tickets sold and HBO and Sky on board.

I notice that like after the first Haye cancellation the Fury camp have gone very quiet ... almost like they don't want to spook Wlad any further.

On the positive side Wlad did exactly the same thing with Pulev and the fight went ahead 8 weeks later, so again history would suggest Wlad won't pull out.

I don't see Klitschko bottling this somehow.

He'd have to give up titles, just to avoid somebody he was already the favourite to beat.

Unless his injury was so serious, it forced his retirement, I can't see any other reason he wouldn't take this fight.

Seems weird that Degale is on SS1 and the Fury fight is on SBO, it's like that they don't expect the Fury fight to happen so booked Degale on SS1 to save messing up the schedules again.

I want the Fury fight to happen but fear it won't and he will end up fighting for the vacant title in the New Year.

No chance. People don't half talk some shite sometimes. Conspiracy theories - people just love them.

As long as both are fit and well the fight will happen.

The only thing that does seem strange and lends some credibility to the O/P is that Hughie Fury is scheduled to fight on the undercard on 28th November.

But he is also scheduled to fight on November 14th.

Surely he won't fight twice in 2 weeks, and the 2nd one in front of 55,000 people and his best opponent to date [Firtha]?

Strange.

I'd think that however long the fight lasts,Tyson is going to be a handful for Wlad and maybe he's hoping that the cancellation will cause Tyson to ease off in training,i just don't believe the injury to Wlad was real and he is playing mind games,i certainly wouldn't book anything non refundable for this fight.
