Worst boxrec ranking faux pas?

Post by davie »

It's well documented that Boxrec ranking (like every boxing ranking system) is heavily flawed.

What's the most ridiculous fighter ranking you've spotted?

I just looked up an all time p4p list of thai fighters and this guy
http://boxrec.com/boxer/16294
Ranks 8th, above this guy.
http://boxrec.com/boxer/4059
Who is inexplicably 11th behind a number of guys who surely shouldn't be above him

Now I'm not the most clued up on the history of Thai boxing but that seems mental to me.

What other flat out nuts ranking have you seen recently?

I noticed Chris Eubank Jr is the 8th best middleweight in the world while the man who beat him Billy Joe Saunders is 17th! How that's possible is crazy.
