Sergey Kovalev is 32 years old. What Sergey has done in professional boxing. If he stays healthy, focused, and continues his winning streak for several more years in the Light-heavyweight division. -------------
Do you think Sergey will rank among the top Light-heavyweights of all time?
If so, why?

Sergey Kovalev?
Re: Sergey Kovalev?
He needs to beat Stevenson and Ward. And then any other contenders who come through. He's obviously a very high quality fighter.

Re: Sergey Kovalev?
Potentially yes but like GGG he needs to strengthen his resume by beating the other top men in the division e.g. Stevenson and Beterbiev, and Ward
Re: Sergey Kovalev?
Ditto.....beating some real quality like Ward - who has the notable wins, belts and pedigree - would complete the picture and the project.Potentially yes but like GGG he needs to strengthen his resume by beating the other top men in the division e.g. Stevenson and Beterbiev, and Ward
But the guy is already a huge force; Cleverly was by no means a piss poor, paperweight champion just there for the taking and Kovalev absolutely hammered in his own backyard. And anyone who stops Pascal is worthy of huge respect.
Get Ward and Stevenson on the resume and SK is straight into the IBHOF for my money.
Re: Sergey Kovalev?
Neither Kov or GGG have fought anyone. Why is this thread about an active boxer who has done nothing to merit being discussed on a forum where the greats are talked of much less be compared to them even here?

Re: Sergey Kovalev?
They are the best in their divisions of this era, so its fair to compare them with past greats to see how they stack up.
