Andy Ruiz fights Zumbano Love up next....

Post by Wales »

Zumbano Love looked like someone who'd never stepped in the ring against AJ, let's see how HW prospect Andy Ruiz deals with him....

That was the first time I've seen Ruiz Jnr and I've got to say I was surprised at how fast and powerful he was. I looked at his physique and thought he'd be absolutely crap. It made me chuckle that such a tubby man could fight so well.

He looked good at times, but I do wonder about his much vaunted power - either Zumbano Love (is that really his name, he sounds like a latino character from the Nutty Professor!) has one of the best chins in the division, or Ruiz doesn't punch all that hard after all.

He certainly had good hand speed, and his stamina seemed very good too, that's more than most heavyweights have these days. Need to see him in with someone who hits him back, and at some stage, he's going to have to get himself in better shape, carrying that excess weight, no matter what, can't be good for him. Will look forward to seeing him again, he's fun to watch, but couldn't tell too much, except that he clearly doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Joshua.

I'm excited. Just when I thought Arreola was going to fade away, we get another overweight Mexican to replace him.

Good handspeed and he seems surprisingly athletic.
Got a feeling he lacks in height (he's 6 ft 2 ) and punching power to compete with the top boys .
