I was looking through some of my old BOXING NEWS RECORD BOOKS the other day and saw Vic in there.
Has anyone got any info on him?
I heard on an old nigel benn commentary that he went to Florida.
There is an interesting article by ex boxer bobby day in the Lancaster Times who states that Vic went to Florida to escape from east end life ( or to be more specific two twins in smart suits who spoke with an east end accents who liked calling round your shop for money.)
Don't know if this is true, but he says that he (day) was managed by Sammy McCarthey who did an armed robbery which is true.

Didn't Benn train with him when he relocated to the states?

Yeah I seem to remember hearing it while watching Benn when he fought Sanderline Williams i think.

Any idea what Vic is up to these days ?

Bearing in mind he's in his early seventies.

Most of the lesser known fighters have the most interesting stories.
