Crolla v Flanagan

Post by Taansend »

If they fight who do you think will win?

I'm guessing it will be around 80% in favour of Flanagan.

I would favour Flanagan
to be honest I think best fight for crolla would be Ricky Burns next

Scotland / England would sell well with both sets fans , easy to make
Burns has been winning ( gave a great account up in weight in Texas ) and if he has anything left I reckon he would be able to beat Crolla .

Makes sense to me as decent first defence :TU:

I think Flanagan would win quite handily. But there is no way this would ever happen as EH will have the WBA lightweight belt wrapped up in matchroom fights for a good while. Burns, Mitchell and Campbell will all get a turn at it.

There's no way it will happen anytime soon as one is with Hearn and one is with Wa**en.

Any remotely big fight that would require those two working together is impossible as what channel would it be on?

Flanagan looked good in his last fight but had never displayed any punching power before. Crolla has the better all-round skills but it would be an interesting fight for Manchester. Does Flanagan have much of a fan base?

Flanagan can't sell tickets let's be honest and he doesn't get much exposure on allegedly, this fight won't happen I think EH will keep the belt and try push for his golden boy Luke Campbell in the future who I think would beat Crolla now, or if FW put politics aside let Flanagan fight Crolla on Eddie's show surely for a bigger purse but I can't see it but hope I'm wrong.

Easy fight to make too. Would be a fight for the purists. Two good boxers.

This fight could well happen, Flanagans 3 year deal with FW ends Dec next year so 2-3 defences each.

I think Flanagan will have a decent turn out for his next bout if it's against a decent 'name'. I'm not based in the UK but followed him since the Prizefighter win but he may have flown under the radar for many - especially with the red hot scene in the North West right now.
