never adds to the real picture, just provides
a useless factoid. fighters don't win fights
because they land more punches. the number
of punches is not the point.

i know that won't happen, it is too much
fun and food for the pundit and public.
but one can dream of a better world, no?

Punch stats simply cannot be done live. They are rarely accurate. By all means do them post fight from slow motion footage the following day, but to have them shown through the fight is simply misleading and wrong.
