Oscar Rivas v Joey Abell

Post by Gnome »

Oscar Rivas v Joey Abell in Quebec City on the Bute- de Gale undercard.

This seems like a good test for Rivas. If Abell can do anything, its punch and at 6'4 he is considerably bigger than Rivas. He has also been in against very good fighters in Oquendo, Arreola, Fury and Pulev (who he put on his pants, albeit briefly).

Thoughts? Who have you got?

One thing Joey can do is punch he hit me probably harder then anyone I have fought in 80+ fights but he doesn't like to get hit best of luck to both fighters

I've always liked Joey. His punch can keep him in the fight, but he doesn't have the strongest whiskers by a long shot. Rivas the rightful favorite, but I'd like to see Joey win just to shake things up.

Fun fight. As Galen well knows it comes also to which version of Joey shows up. One who trained or one that has about three rounds in him.
