Was there ever talk of this fight happening?

Both in their primes (young George or older George). Who would have won?

Probably go for Foreman and on points ...Smith was admittedly very decent and has got the scalps to prove it, but he was beatable even during his prime period. For every big 'up' there was a disappointing 'dip', Marvis Frazier springs to mind and he lost to guys like Rodrigues who was no great shakes in my opinion. I think George has more than enough to deal with Smith but James hears the bell.
