Wladimir headbutting Tyson

Post by TheLeprechaun »

Sorry chaps, not sure how to post videos but check on YouTube "klitschko headbutt fury". Such a blatant butt. Filthy from Wladimir. Point should have been deducted

Unbelievable that he got away it.

Bradleys Saunders DQ a few months ago was for something not dissimilar.

From my own count there was at least five headbutts in that fight, and all but one was started by Klitschko.

With all the excessive holding and headbutting, I think Tony Weeks was an incompetant referee.

Yeah I got that, the fact that there was no point deduction against Wladimir there, but there was one against Fury for a minor infraction in the 11th made it seem like Weeks was doing what he could to make it closer for Wlad. With the fight being in Germany, this doesn't surprise me.

Yeah I'm surprised it hasn't been commented on more widely, one of the most blatant headbutt attempts I've seen. Just shows how desperate Wlad must have been at that point.

I thought the Povetkin fight illustrated what a filthy, cheating fighter WK is, but people for whatever reason seemed to remain in denial. Glad we are finally accepting it.

It makes Fury's victory even more satisfying. The better man won.

There was an interview with Peter Fury on iFL TV yesterday and he said that the contract does not specify where a rematch needs to take place, so I'd play on that massively and offer them a rematch at the Manchester Arena, and tell them to get stuffed if they say no.

No way on earth is Wlad travelling to Manchester to face Fury, and if he does, there's no way he's winning.

Yep saw the deliberate head butt from Vladimir at the time it happened. Fury even looked to the ref immediately after it happened.

Makes Fury's point deduction all the more outrageous. :shame:

:TU: I thought the ref was really going out of his way to give Wlad a helping hand, he ought to be asked why he didn't do anything about the butts and if his reasoning isn't up to scratch he should be 'rested' from his duties.
