Post by victor-romeo »

I like what I have seen of Magomedov so far, I think he will be ready to challenge for a middleweight title in 4 or 5 fights..
what do you guys think?

His fight will open the HBO Latino telecast.

Magomedov is very good. I was hoping for a ranked opponent for him on Dec 12, but at least he'll get in another fight this year and hopefully 2016 will be a big year for him.

Good article about Arif on The Ring website: http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/4061 ... -magomedov

After watching his fight with Tavaria I was less impressed with Magomedov than before. He looked slightly plodding, and his defense looked vulnerable , he also threw a few wild punches. I don't know if it was because his opponent was durable, a southpaw or what but he didn't look as sharp as in previous fights. I still like his combination punching with some power behind it. I think with some good coaching the guy could still be a champ.

He looked okay, but he didn't show the good footwork or combination punching as in his past few fights.

Magomedov seems to look better against defensive boxers who run from him. His opponent last night was more aggressive than the past few. Arif had an early fight against someone similar to the guy last night and he struggled but won.

Magomedov's defense needs to improve before he goes in with someone who punches hard like Stevens or Lemieux. Right now he is too easy to hit.
