Matthysse is considering of heading to welterweight in 2016.Matthysse suffered his first career defeat by knockout by Postol,also suffered a eye injury & decided to stay down & take the full count and admitting he couldn't see Postol's punches.Matthysse also lost his title and his potential fight with Manny Pacquiao for April.Matthysse stated he thought about it,and looking for new challenges ,different opponents and bigger fights.

He couldn't handle postols height and size at 140 , I don't think it will get better for him at 147. In Postol fight it looked like the fire had gone out in Lucas, If he wants a few more paydays with hand picked opponents that fit his style then fine, but he ought to start thinking about retiring.
I was a big fan of Lucas and appreciated his efforts but the end is coming why not go out with his health..

Why would say sumthing like that about matthysse he ought be retiring,with all he accomplish,even with his lost postol he's still one of the most feared fighters in the 140 division & he's still in his prime.Matthysee is still one most powerful & hardest punchers out,you must forget about the opponents this man knockout & who this man been in the ring with.I don't think his lost to Postol would stop his career,matter fact Postol didn't knockout Matthysse,he just decided not to get up because he damaged his eye because postol isn't a hard puncher at all.What matthysse ought do is fight another top rank fighter at junior welterweight & beat them to prove his one of the best at 140 or even get a rematch to revenge his lost.
