He is with Haymon, so I don't expect anything to be excited about.

I read somewhere he's 100% healthy now, and back in training again.

Haven't seen any rumors about possible opponents though.

Anybody know anything new about Beterbiev? He's been healthy for awhile now, so I wonder is there a fight in discussions?

I would like to see Beterbiev vs Braehmer, or perhaps Beterbiev vs. Browne, Y Gonzalez, Fonfara or E Alvarez. There are plenty of interesting opponents for him.

It is probably really hard for Haymon to get any of his LHWs fight Artur with a very good chance to be brutally stopped.

He had his chance to fight Kovalev, but he passed, so he will have to fight somebody irrelevant.

Still no news on Beterbiev.

He should have a fight scheduled by now.

Who the hell needs Kovalev-Pascal II? I'd rather see Kovalev vs Barrera or Shabranskyy, and Beterbiev vs Pascal. But nah.

I tweeted Yvon Michel and he said Beterbiev's next fight will be at the end of march or the beginning of april.

Nice, this guy needs to be back in the ring. He is one of the only guys that I think are a genuine threat to Kovalev. Ward might pull off a decision against Kovalev, but Beterbiev has the strength and power to maybe bust Sergei up.

He beat Kovalev twice in the amateurs.

Actually just once, and it was a robbery with Chechen judges.

Don't believe everything you hear on Showtime.

I wouldn't believe ANYTHING on Showtime or any other tv channel. It is posted around the internet, like here for instance:

Sounds like you know more about it, so was it only once and a robbery? I think - not sure - that Beterbiev is a Moslem and so would have been the Chechen judges.

That website boxingnews24 is a branch of East Side Boxing and not reliable. They just repeat information from other sources.

Beterbiev is an ethnic Chechen, although he grew up in a nearby Muslim area of Russia called Dagestan. He issued a strong condemnation of the perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombings, saying it was "wrong according to my religion."

For me it doesn't matter what religion he is, I look forward to his fights because he's very good and he's exciting to watch.
