Richard Commey on the hunt for IBF lightweight title

Post by psychod1986 »

Commey won all his last four bouts in 2015 and is pushing hard to rule the lightweight division with a world title bout.I am very impressed with how this guy fights & also impress with some of the guys he defeated, Commey is also one hardest punchers in the lightweight division, having a knockout percentage of 91%.

Commey is obviously a hard puncher, but he's a very beatable guy that wouldn't be too terribly hard to outbox for the best guys in the division I think, but due to his power he'll be dangerous until it's over.

I feel sorry for him as he just cant get an opportunity, he's in "the who needs him club" high risk low reward, however i'm sure he's signed up with the Sauerlands in Germany so I hope they can get him the big fights.

Commey beaten solid enough opponents,to deserve a title shot,he defeated some decent fighters but yes he is a beatable because he looks to slug with ever guy in front of him, some guys have elite skills an can adjust to that style and can definitely outbox you & beat you,but we will see in the future.

Only way I see commey beating, the best guys in the division is by brawling an putting pressure on them.

That's the impression they're trying to give, that he's a big puncher who's being avoided by the top fighters in the division. In reality he doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as his record suggests and they're trying to get him into a big fight without fighting anyone dangerous and actually earning the opportunity.

I like Commey.

Hopefully get a couple of fights on TV before the big one.
He's ranked high in the who needs him club at the moment.
