I like Malignaggi. Barry Jones is the best in business. Incisive, relaxed, doesn't talk without making a point, cool headed.
I likE Glenn MCrory, don't mind Adam Smith. Everyone else at Sky is awful though. Like a bunch of clueless six-formers trying to produce an unprofessional package.

Jamie Moore is a class pundit but does anyone remember his shambolic attempt at presenting on Loaded TV
Nah Moore is a class act as is Woodhall,Jones,Malignaggi...Bellew is a good pundit too and ive always stuck up for Watt but i agreed when people on here were saying Paulie left him in the shade a few weeks ago
McCrory,Froch,Smigga,Lillis and Nelson are all solid but never add anything that makes me think
I'd love Malignaggi to come to the UK to work full time but he's well sought after in the US too so i assume we'll have to make do with the PPV shows(yes once a month
)
Bunce and Atlas are bonkers but good,Enzo had a good gig going with allegedly but got binned after his ban,Lockett is good also
Promoters tend to be good pundits on the rare occasions they do it,they dont bullsh1t the viewers,Frank Maloney never used to blow smoke up anyones arse

JEEBUS! I think I would stop watching boxing if these two clowns were commentating on the same event!Killer Kovalev wrote:haha Your opinion, I love that guy!reggaereggae wrote:Atlas is bloody awful...Bunce is ok in small doses.Killer Kovalev wrote:I really Like :

Bunce an Atlas commentating together would be class, and would annoy a lot of people

Gary Lockett, Barry Jones & Paulie. I miss Ian Darke, who had the mix of authority and humour down to a fine art.
I used to enjoy Kevin Kelley as well.

Barry Jones without a doubt, followed by Buncey.
Re: Who are your favourite Pundits & Commentators
Agree with what others have said.
UK - Darke is the best commentator. Ed Robinson, Matthew Macklin and Barry Jones are the best pundits, all break down fights and fighters very well, really knowledgeable guys.
US - Not a fan of the Showtime or any PBC commentators. He can be biased but I quite like Lampley just because he gives that big fight feel and I associate his commentary with so many big moments. In terms of pundits Paulie Malignaggi and Roy Jones are good, can tell both understand the game. Roy in particular seems to see things developing very quickly and calls things a round or two before others notice it. On a side note, Foreman used to try to do the same thing but 99% of the time would just tell us how the underdog was going to win if the favourite wasn't careful, think it took him about 6 or 7 rounds to accept that Barkley was getting his arse handed to him by Toney.
EDIT: Seen a few people say Danny Jacobs is good on the PBC shows actually, but I'd have to listen to him myself first.

Jim watt is the undisputed king and with halling and malignaggi its the three man team id been crying at sky to implement for about ten years on here.
Bunce is great altho i understand those who feel he makes everything unglamorous and downmarket and lacks gravitas etc
J nelson is vastly improved.ed robinson should be running sky boxing.
In the usa ,lampley and foreman and jones jnr

Ian Darke is the best boxing commentator regardless of whether or not he ever boxed. He speaks more sense about the sport than anyone. I used to enjoy his work with McCrory.

Darke and Mason from the old days. Bernstein and Barry Jones now.
Or if - and only if - the fight's crap, Holdsworth.

Re: Who are your favourite Pundits & Commentators
Glen McCrory and Johnny Nelson have to be the worst. The two of them are just patsys for Sky who toe the party line at all costs.
Re: Who are your favourite Pundits & Commentators
Enjoy listening to Barry Jones and Richie Woodall commentating. Pundit wise I like Steve Lillis, Malignaggi, Jamie Moore and Carl Froch (when he's not blowing his own trumpet). Jim Watt is obviously very knowledgable but I find his scoring a bit frustrating a lot of the time. Someone above said Ed Robinson should be running Sky boxing, I would second that!

Re: Who are your favourite Pundits & Commentators
Easily the best UK boxing commentator, now Darke has retired to football, is Dave Farrar of CH5 - easy on the ear, neutral, no ego on show, thoughtful... the best by a country mile.
Bo x nation pick him up !
Rawling is ok but pompous & a bit dull & cliche ridden, Halling is a scrub & a complete buffoon.
Ok Bunce in studio is bearable - a bit like a drunk and annoying uncle at the wedding party but at least you can turn the sound down. Barry Jones is absolute class... Gary Lockett it is good..Gary Logan is very good, when Bunce lets him get a word in, Lillis is.....ok
God forbid Gareth Davies from the Telegraph has been appearing recently... and you can tell even Frank was thinking what the hell did I get this guy on the show for... a real bore.
He has unfortunately been appearing on the very good "fight to remember" shows I've been watching recently, mainly because it's so interesting to hear Frank's inside track on the story behind some of the big fights featured..easily the best guest on the show ( apart from Frank ) has been John Evans obviously a very knowledgeable fan and no ego involved ( unlike Davies ) a really good pundit, they need to get him back all the time - and the presenter Alex Steedman is very good too. Top class.

Someone on here did a hilarious post on Atlas a couple of years ago, along the lines of Teddy ranting about making a sandwitch and how (fighter) has to go to the kitchen and get the bread then the meat out of the fridge, and Tessitore telling him that the shows over, the lights are off and everyones gone home
Cant remember who posted it but it was a cracker i'll say that much

I watched Mr Calzaghe earlier,Kessler is on it and for those who havent seen it they watch their fight together and also have a game of ping pong on the extras, its great to see them reminisce
Anyways i was thinking Kessler would make a good pundit,he really is a class act, talks perfect English and i think he'd be well suited to commentary

Re: Who are your favourite Pundits & Commentators
Best presenter is Alex Steedman. He could do Wimbledon or the Olympics or any big event - he's potentially the best broadcaster out there
Best commentators Ian Darke, Mike Costelloe
Best pundits Richie Woodhall, Froch (if he'd rein in his rampant ego - Sky producers should do that for him), Bellew
Amir Khan is the worst pundit by a country mile which is quite some statement given the competition. Brook is 2nd worst.
I love Teddy Atlas' pre fight demos with his sidekick
I tell you what I hate - commentators notably Smith and Rawling referring to rounds as stanzas. Unbearably pretentious.
