Re: fighters OF the past who might could beat Floyd Mayweathweather
I wondered about benitez as Floyd would clearly be quicker. But Benitez I think would have a useful size advantage, in frame anyway and maybe marginally in weight too, and clearly is a fighter who doesn't have to tip his hat to floyds ring skills or defence. Its not one I'm that certain on either way, would be interested to see what others think.

Several of those fighters were just too big for Mayweather though.

--- Probably won't win a decision against TUE against MGM officiating, and I'm older now and wouldn't want to go below 160 unless we got an even split, but no doubt he'd run from me like a grrl for hire on fire.
Be a lot more worried if Tommy Hearns was mad at me.

No for Chavez, Pryor, Tito, Morales, McGirt and I assume Chris John and all the Middleweights are jokes. If we're talking hagler, Jones and Hopkins I'd add Joe louis, Holyfield, Dwight Qawi and Valuev.

Trolling or just dumb? Is a difficult question on the internet at the best of times. And the best of times, this ain't.
Re: fighters OF the past who might could beat Floyd Mayweathweather
Of all the fighters he could have fought I would have loved to see floyd fight Paul Williams. Those long arms would have caused him loads of trouble.

What's funny about Morales is there is an gym tale of him giving young Floyd the business in sparring.

I don't know if any of these guys beat Maywether. He wouldn't fight any of them until they were a senior citizen.

Re: fighters OF the past who might could beat Floyd Mayweathweather
I noticed that only 4 of the men on the list had the caveat "in his prime" - does this mean the others are in the condition Mayweather typically prefers - aged 36-40 and going down fast?Ambling Alp II wrote:I don't know if any of these guys beat Maywether. Id narrow it down to those 12 who are dead certain to beat him imo.and id add a peak shane mosley circa 1999 , napoles and ortiz probably could too.a prime 1997 oscar definetly does if a shot 2007 one took it to the wire

I'd take Chavez and maybe Benitez off that list as well.
