I think Groves could beat Chudinov now. I don't think Groves is the fight he was but Chudinov is bang average although tough.

George seems to be a stuck in a rut: he is not good enough to be world class, but he's better than domestic level & probably slightly better than European level, so where does he go?

There's no point in him knocking over any more corpses, as that doesn't prove anything, but I can't see him beating any trinket holders.

A rematch with DeGale is an obvious choice & I suppose DeGale would want to even the score, but I can't see Groves beating DeGale now.

Groves is good enough for world class. He is world class.

He could beat any of them. DeGale is the best trinket holder and he's already beaten him.

He could beat any of them but has to deliver on the night, he's had 3 goes up to now and talent and promise have to be utilised on the night. Some of his interviews have shown he doesn't take responsibility for his performances and failures, he doesn't seem to have a realistic mind set.

Being more of an underdog will probably help Groves mentally heading into another big fight.

Groves workrate was pretty decent even though he was huffing, puffing and looking sorry for himself in the late rounds against Jack.

Maybe he just has to work on his poker face.

I'd like to see him fight Blackledge next, a up and coming British boxer with a lot to prove would give Groves a good challenge, not to mention get him fighting in front of a UK crowd again and the Commonwealth belt potentially that gives him a little more bargaining power down the line when he does get back into world contention.

Very interesting, and actually Groves/Sauerland have a point there. Giving the number 7 ranked fighter a chance to fight for a shot at Jack is poor form if the number 3 ranked fighter is available.

Would love to see Callum v George.
