Dave (the TV channel, not Haye) will lap up the nonsense that Shannon Briggs will bring. After all, it is the home of witty banter.

It'd be a step up from Mark De Mori! :o

Then again, if David Haye fought my 23 month old niece, that would be a step up from Mark De Mori! :TU:

Briggs is all talk---he hasn't scored a meaningful win in years and was out of his depth even back in 2007 against Ibragimov, so don't expect him to have any success if he actually gets the fight. He's not even the 'gives it a good go type' and would probably be gassed and passive after a few minutes.

I would offer him a room to stay for a while but I have only enugh food for me the mrs and my little grandson. Isnt there a homeless shelter or a Salvation Army spot he could use in London?

Someone from some stone hard Welsh pit village should offer him a room and make a documentary out of it.

I'd imagine he'd eat you out of house of home.

Let's go champ every five minutes, as he asks for yet another ham and cheese sandwich.

This would be great, the loser can forget about a title shot, the winner proves quite some people wrong. I'd love to see this fight and I can't think out many reasons for David Haye to avoid him!

khan v saul, ggg v hopkins and haye v briggs. all one sided in my opinion but very interesting also in a way. it could possibly be the losers last fight in each of these. :bag:

Briggs is so far past his prime, he can't even remember what it looks like. Haye would dominate him completely and add to the brain damage that Vitali gave him. Bad idea this fight, bad idea.

Its better then Malik Scott, thats for sure. There is an outside chance of Briggs lasting 2 rounds. Still how many blow outs Haye is planning to feed us. Surely that can be good for his goal to regain his prestige.

Easy fix ,, dON'T PART WITH YOUR HARD EARNT . Promotors start to lose money on mis matches and bullshit fights ,, they will start to insist the likes of Haye fight better opponents or don't fight

The stats of both are quite similar, both want to step up, one of them has to offer himself up. Haye isn't worth much points at the moment, so you can't blame Briggs for anything. He's purely fighting for the name and fame.

Haye has loads of fans who will pay to see him in with anybody, so you might get your wish, but if you think this fight will be competitive you're going to be very disappointed

The only way Shannon wins is the Homer Simpson method: keep getting smashed in the face and stay standing until Haye gets knackered and then knocking him out in the later rounds

Briggs is a dangerous fight that i doubt the board would sanction.

I would rather watch Haye beat up the fat tub of lard that is Arreola than this.

More like the other way around, Briggs usually rams for two rounds and after that he's tired.
