Haye got his way faster than I expected.

Could be David Haye but im sure Haye would have been tweeting bits and bobs. Cannot see it being Joshua.

Anyone apart from Klitschko will be a step down.

Reckon this might happen too. Wlad realises he ain't got it anymore, retires then Tyson fights Martin to get the IBF back.Rexob wrote:I reckon Martin will be the opponent?
Fury was surprising with his comments about Martin recently, saying he's good etc, which he isn't, so he might be talking him up as an opponent.

Klitschko. Tyson's more than likely just taking the piss and getting some easy publicity.

The tone of the tweet makes it seem like it isn't either of them. The wheels of my mind start turning and I find myself wondering if it's someone completely out of left field like Lennox Lewis, who Tyson harasses on Twitter every now and again. I mean, I doubt it is but when I start thinking of people who would be a complete surprise my mind drifts to Lewis.

Yeh could be. Maybe fury will say he is surprised that klit wants another beating.expe wrote:Klitschko. Tyson's more than likely just taking the piss and getting some easy publicity.

I guess the best dream it would be Joshua, who's meant to be announcing his opponent today... Can't see Eddie Hearn risking AJ at this point; though it would surely be the richest all Brit fight ever

Hearn would definitely put AJ in with Fury now if he could imo. I think Joshua would knock Fury out.reggaereggae wrote:I guess the best dream it would be Joshua, who's meant to be announcing his opponent today... Interesting.... Let's hope that fight gets made. I think if Fury sticks to his boxing he would outbox AJ at this stage.... I don't think Joshua has any experience against a good 'boxer'Boxerbeetle wrote:Hearn would definitely put AJ in with Fury now if he could imo. I think everyone would want to see it, but wheres big enough to hold this in England? It would have to be Wembley.Boxerbeetle wrote:Hearn would definitely put AJ in with Fury now if he could imo. Lennox has ruled this out on Twitter this morning.nfc90210 wrote:he tone of the tweet makes it seem like it isn't either of them. Can't see him giving Haye another shot. Joshua/Fury is far too big to be held in the O2. Unless Wilder has wriggled out of his mandatory to set up a unification I reckon it's either Martin or just Fury on the wind-up.

I wonder if is to sort out a hughie fury fight, because he doesn't actually state the fight is for himself.mimmy123 wrote:But why would that be a surprise opponent?watsupdoc87 wrote:Maybe fighting klit in england??

Hmmm, could be Joshua vs Hughie Fury. Hearn has tweeted that Joshua's opponent will be announced this evening.Finn wrote:I wonder if is to sort out a hughie fury fight, because he doesn't actually state the fight is for himself.mimmy123 wrote:But why would that be a surprise opponent?watsupdoc87 wrote:Maybe fighting klit in england??

How much would a clear loss to Fury hurt Joshua's marketability?Boxerbeetle wrote:I never joke about boxing.
I'd think the IBF route would be the more financially sensible world level option.

The only opponent that I'd prefer to Wladimir is Vitali.

Fury v Joshua would certainly make a few quid. What would you prefer a multi million pay day with a 1 loss on your record or keep the zero and go for smaller pay days and nothing is certain in boxing so that zero could go with any opponent.
I think Joshua would have a very good chance beating Fury but he would certainly be an inexperienced heavyweight champion and would need to be taken very carefully with selected opposition for defences.
It would be a fight I would want to see
