allegedly has told Ringside that there is a "good chance" that British heavyweights Audely Harrison and Matt Skelton will get it on.
Harrison, who has been dumped by the BBC, has called for the fight in public, but claims the Sports Network promoter is deliberately avoiding him.
But in a frank interview with Ringside, Warren revealed that he has been in discussions with the Olympic champion's A-Force team - and believes the fight the British public want to see is not as far away as people think.
"We've been talking to Audley, we've been talking to Hazel (Bruno-Gilbert), his business advisor, we've had meetings with his lawyers," he said.
"It was all about money as it always is being realistic, and hopefully we've got a good chance of making that fight. I would like to that fight in September."
Warren also spoke about his other top-notch fighters and after recent criticism of his match-making ability, he came out fighting.
He says he wants to match WBU cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli with WBO champion Johnny Nelson.
skysports.com columnist Nelson has said that he will retire at Christmas, after possibly two more fights, and has always maintained that the Welshman has some way to go before he can step into the ring with him.
"I want to make Enzo Maccarinelli and Johnny Nelson," he said. "I know Johnny says he doesn't want to do that, but I want Johnny to fight and I want them to fight each other. I think it's a good fight."
Warren is also relishing the prospect of WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison taking on the legendary Marco Antonio Barrera, who is now his mandatory challenger, as he promised to silence his critics with some blockbusting bouts.
"There's some super fights out there," he said. "You've got Scott Harrison, his mandatory challenger is now Barrera.
"And Scott Harrison, by the way, has not had an easy fight. You think of the opponents he's had, he's beaten all guys who have been in the top 10 and he is a good fighter.
"There are some good fights there that we want to make: we want to make them for the boxers, the fighters want them, I want them and I'm sure the punters at Sky want them."
