Ed Robinson confirms Tyson-Williams on Sky

Ed Robinson has kindly got in touch with Boxrec to confirm Tyson-Williams will be screened on Sky. They only secured the rights today, so many thanks to Ed for letting us know on the day itself.

Is the Ed Robinson who works for Sky the same Ed Robinson who fought Luke Simpkin, Alvar Coppard and Julan Kacanolli at light middle and featured in the book 'My Greatest Fight'?

Does anyone know how much they are going to be charging us? After the last Tyson fiasco versus Etienne plus the poor undercard i think it should be a little cheaper. Unless the undercard is particuarly strong this time round i doubt i will buy it.

Yes he is. HE had 8 fights for the Fitzroy Lodge and 25 amateur fights in all.

Lets face it when is there ever a decent undercard fight on a Tyson bill. Absolutely nothing springs to mind recently.

This could end up being another horrible "up all night" disappointment. If Williams gets clipped flush he's out of there, end of story. But lots of people said the same about Lennox Lewis, in the end he proved it's perfectly possible not to get caught flush on the chin in a fight against a hugely limited banger.

I'm more concerned with Williams not having the strength to prevent himself being roughed up, than I am about him not being able to avoid the big punches.

and the best way Lewis found was to wait till Tyson is at least ten years past his best, then fight a shell of the fighter he once was.

I presume the British stuff will be free as usual though right? I mean the actual Tyson-Williams fight, what will the undercard be? I hear maybe Garcia-Griffin.

I got the impression both bills were PPV.

That makes a whole lotta sense seen as Tyson paid his then mandatory Lewis $4million to step aside so he could fight Seldon

wasnt Tyson the number one mandatory to fight lewis? lewis could easily have forced tyson to take the fight if he really wanted him then, or make him cancel his fight against seldon if he hadnt done so. he was more than happy to avoid him

What rubbish! Tyson is number one to fight Lewis, Tyson pays him to step aside, and you are berating Lewis for not wanting the fight? Thats ridiculous. You say Lewis not forcing him makes him in the wrong, but I bet you'd said he was in the wrong if he had. Picture it, Tyson claims that he wasn't ready to fight Lewis and is prepared to offer Lewis $4million not to fight him, but Lewis says; "No I want the fight." People like you would've said that Lewis was a coward for forcing an unprepared and under ready Tyson to fight him. There's no way Lewis could've come out of that without somebody moaning, so I don't blame him for taking the option that includes getting money.

Oh so it's PPV for the Brit show too, I guess they've done that before. Probably doesn't matter anyway - I'm starting to really look forward to seeing William's last chance at proving himself a decent fighter.
It's all there for him, he just has to handle the build up, and first 6 minutes of action, then Mike just might turn into an old man in front of his eyes.
Then again, Danny could well find himself staring up at the ring lights inside 2 minutes.
Let's hope not eh.......

I hear the Kentucky undercard will be nine or so fights - but it'll probably be a bunch of local good ol' boys we've never heard of.
