My other great-uncle, Mickey Farber was born April 26, 1919 and died April 6, 1988. My father's older brother and him were the same age and grew up together because there was no room in my grandparents house in Brooklyn.
The Jews In Sports website has his hometown as Brooklyn. It was New York, New York, as the two Bummy Davis fights were billed as paring the champs from the Lower East Side (my great-uncle) with the champ from Brownsville (Bummy Davis). Ron Ross's book Bummy Davis vs Murder, Inc. mentions this.
Anyone out there have any other information about the Farber brothers? My family would like to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Richard Krasner
