Willis O'Brien

I'm researching a director/FX guy from early Hollywood named Willis O'Brien. Supposedly he had a pro record of 9-1 but I can't find him on boxrec. Can anyone help?

Ah the guy who did King Kong. Always knew he boxed as he put in some punches in the kong vs T. rex fight because of that. He was young I think. May not have been pro bouts?

I was a big Willis O'Brien fan back in the mid-1960's and 1970's.(my favorite magazine was FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND

I know several in depth articles and books have been published on him since.
My guess the bouts were in the San francisco area.
