Chavez Jr. Calls out GGG

Chavez calls out GGG to fight at 168.

IMO GGG should wait for Canelo to make a decision, and if Canelo puSSies out, take his belt and then fight Chavez on PPV. That would sell out Cowboys Stadium.

Loefler already said that they will consider Chavez only if Canelo and Saunders are not available.

Not a bad foray to 168. I really don't see the need though though I would obviously watch it.

Watch out! GGG will be labelled a coward if he doesn't take the offer.

If it did happen, it would be horrible for Jr. He has a good chin and is way too easy to hit. Dude would end up in the hospital.

And if he does take the offer we'll hear about how he'd go up for Jr. but not for Sakio Bika

Yep :salut:

Sad fact is that Jr would most likely generate more money than a Ward fight. So, why not...

Way more money. Who wants to watch Ward trying to hang on GGG 2 out of every 3 minutes ?

GGG can wait and see what Canelo does with his deadline following the Khan fight, and beyond that if Canelo ducks him again I say take the fight with Chavez Jr.

It won't raise his profile much, and it won't get his critics off his back, but it'll get more eyes on him from casual fans, and it'll earn him his biggest payday. So it'd be the next best thing for GGG I think.

Chavez Jr. pulled out of the last fight. Chavez Jr. is unpredictable and undisciplined. I'd doubt GGG's team would take a tweet from Chavez Jr seriously.

Yep, any contract with Jr should have pullout penalties regardless of a reason.

Chavez calls out GGG to fight at 168.

IMO GGG should wait for Canelo to make a decision, and if Canelo puSSies out, take his belt and then fight Chavez on PPV. That would sell out Cowboys Stadium.
What is the point of taking a vacant belt? If he can't beat canelo for it and Saunders isn't available there is literally no point in staying at middle. Belts are meaningless without a good name attached.

The belts will have a good name attached to them when Golovkin has them. You may think that they are meaningless, but Golovkin has a different opinion. He wants to become an undisputed champion.

Chavez would not make 168 anyway so what is the point. Secondly GGG is the MW champion. Get back down to 160 you fat bastard and fight GGG. Sounds great to me. GGG will take on any man in the world at 160 pounds. Who will take the challenge? Tough inner city guys from America? No. Puerto Rico? No. Mexico? No. UK? No. Charlo Clowns? No. There appear to be sadly no takers.
