Canelo to Abel Sanchez :"All I have in this world is my balls and my 155 lbs and I don't break them for no one."

Abel:" Where is your balls, ginger" ?

Canelo: "Touch me".

Meanwhile Oscar still trying to do the negotiations via a telegraph machine.

Odlh- "We are willing to fight 3G at any weight based on the following sliding scale:"

160 = if 3G will fight for free.
159 = 95-5
158 = 90-10
157 = 85-15
156 = 80-20
155 = 75-25

ODLH's demand:" Golovkin must wear fishnet underwear at the weigh in and fishnet trunks on the fight night, otherwise fight is off" :clap:

If they don't come to an agreement and it goes to purse bid then canelo has no say in what cut GGG gets, that's when canelo will put his tail between his legs and scamper off, funny how he was all talk after the khan fight but now it will be back to the catch weight, where is canelos Mexican pride

By the way, as Golovkin is an interim champion,
Steve Kim ‏@steveucnlive 4m4 minutes ago
the 45-55 split is what the WBC purse bid would be if GGG-Canelo goes to purse bid under their rules... #boxing
so it is in Canelo's interests to come to an agreement without a purse bid. He could easily get 70-30 and try to push for 75-25.

Seems like an easy fight to make and both guys to sign on the line.
Both are middleweight champions, so the weight shouldn't be an issue as they'll fight for the middleweight title.
Both are big names in the boxing community, but neither are big names in the sports community yet. Their fight puts them directly in the sports community and the winner comes out as a great middleweight champion with all of the prestige to go along with it.
Money should be split 50-50. Maybe Canelo gets a little more, like 55-45, since he has a big mexican following. But not much difference than that. Or better yet, each gets guaranteed 40% with the winner taking the extra 20%.

That is unrealistic. Canelo is a clear A side here, and Loefler accepts that. I think 70-30 is realistic.

GGG would be lucky to get a 70-30 split. He deserves something like that, but he won't get it. Best case scenario he can talk 'em into a 75-25 split, but I doubt they'll move from 80-20 especially if Canelo is gonna do the fight at 160 like he's been saying he will since the Khan fight.

I am guessing that Loefler will take 25%. Not so sure about 20.

I think GGG will settle for a small slice, it will be just as easy as all his other fights, Canelo is no where near his level, G will be happy with the belt and his name.

Golovkin is the A side of this fight... He's the betting favorite and dominant Middleweight... He's bringing the money and PPV dollars as much as Canelo is... They didn't even try to sell his PPV with Lemieux.. They were only looking to take Golovkin down and get his titles.. They figured Lemieux is a savage puncher and figured GGG for a walk-in slugger who runs right into big punches... It was a half-assed PPV fight because nobody ever heard of Lemieux. They just wanted to embarrass GGG by making it PPV. You could have made Golovkin-Wade a PPV because it would do as well. The Kovalev-Hopkins fight would actually have been a better PPV because people heard of both fighters.

Everybody knows Golovkin-Canelo is a monster world-wide attraction. It's the biggest possible PPV fight that exists to be made. It will do millions of buys. Neither man could do the same numbers without the other so it should be a 50/50 split.

In an ideal world, 50:50 would be fair. Unfortunately we don't live in that world - Canelo is a much bigger name for all but hardcore boxing fans. He's also a proven PPV draw, which GGG isn't. I hope GGG's team is wise enough to accept a smaller slice of the purse in exchange for the opportunity to beat Canelo and significantly raise GGG's profile and future earning potential.

There is no doubt GGG has to take smaller cut as he is a definite B side, but within the reasonable boundaries. I would say 60-40 is fair and 70-30 is acceptable.

Is GGG mandatory or interim? It's so hard to remember with these ridiculous belts flying around. I guess it depends how much he wants the fight. He'd be foolish to take less than 30% and go under 160 unless he wants the deal wrapped up sooner than later. As mando he's entitled to 30% if it goes to purse bids.

Canelo keeps saying he'll fight him at 160 lately. So he's gonna look real bad if he goes back on his word now.

He is interim and is entitled to 45/55 split. But they know Canelo will never agree to that, so GGG is willing to get less.

He won't get anywhere near that kinda split. 70/30 in Canelo's favor is the best GGG can hope for.
