TYSON Greatest Fighting Machine To Have Ever Lived

It's not Roy it's Tyson! Nobody in the history of the sport beats Prime Tyson! Too much skill, defense, offense, power, etc.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2RxpsS639I

The Ali or Foreman of the early 1970s would have beaten Tyson. Iron Mike didn't have Frazier's head movement.

Bonecrusher Smith or Tony Tucker would have been KOd by a prime Foreman.

True, Tyson in his very short prime was quite good though.

Mike Tyson had fantastic head movement when he was trained by Rooney.

He abondoned his head movement, along with other things which made him the fighter he was & became a one dimensional, one punch at a time slugger.

prime for prime, tyson #1 heavyweight ever, i can go with that, a 5'11 small guy beating much heavier taller guys like he did, super impressiv.

as far as #1 ever goes, he up there, the combination of power speed chin what put mayor problems to any boxer ever.

i can see im in a top 10 of the best boxer ever....in no particular order

leonard
robinson
jones
tyson
rigondeaux
mayweather
pacquiao
hearns
duran
whitacker

those 10 guys in prime shape over anybody.

he was only fu/()ng around and partying with bitches before the fight, he didnt even have a real training camp, he was already past prime cause of his poor training. also lets not forget, douglus was on the canvas for easily 12 secondes.

Abandoning Rooney was one of Iron Mike's greatest mistakes. I still believe Frazier's head movement was far superior to Tyson's in his prime. Frazier vs Tyson, in their primes, would have been a great match. I see Ali beating Tyson like he beat Frazier in their 2nd fight and Foreman KOing Tyson as he did Frazier. Of course this is all conjecture.

Great to watch. One thing i thinks been rewritten in history is that the 80,s heavyweights were just a bunch of coke heads that couldnt box/fight. Some of them were skilled fighters he was beating make no mistake about that.

More skilled than we see today. Where size takes predecent.

Honestly the guy above mes right imo the only two that would have had a chance to beat tyson would be foremann and ali at his best pre lay off.

There was a change in thinking a few years back after the klitchko,s beat pretty much all comers that they would have beat tyson. But for me if you compare tyson to the challengers the klitchkos faced it really was nite and day. Tyson would have battered them. Lewis as well pre and post steward. As big and as strong lewis was tyson would have been too fast for him. Saying that contrary to opinion i think tyson would have battered holyfield also. As great a warrior evander was. I think he would have given tyson the best fight out of the four of them tho.

That was all before around the bruno one fight when it all started to unravel for him. Dont think we ll see another tyson again tbh. The kids dont have that hunger anymore.

bang on, there was a big pool of talent in the 80s, not knockover jobs like some think and certainly better than todays lot

Tyson is another USSA media hype job. He never fought and beat a single Russian or eastern European or Cuban or black african. The only eastern European he ever fought (while doped up) was wacky Andrew Golota who just wanted to go home after he was hurt by a punch in round one, but he was still so strong that he accidentally won round two without even trying.

No, because pro boxing wasn't even legal in Russia and eastern Europe until the 1990's. Andrew Golota was the first. Pro boxing still isn't legal in Cuba. That's why you see only Cuban ex-pats fighting.

Riddick Bowe for me too, Lennox prime for prime was better too.

Bowe and Lewis both had great inside games, which strangely for a man his size, was Tyson's Achilles heel, he couldn't really fight on the inside. He would generally just wrestle and hold.

What are you on about, name me who these Russian, Eastern European, Cuban or African heavyweight that was out there to beat.

The only decent Cuban heavyweight in that era was Jorge Luis Gonzales, and Bowe annihilated him.

There were no heavyweights from Eastern Europe at that time, because the soviet union did not allow professional boxing. They didn't emerge until the collapse of the soviet union.

There still to date are very few heavyweight boxers from the African continent, for a variety of reasons.

You're talking out of your blowhole.

Douglas had more size, skill, power, etc. He was 6'4" X 232 and trained hard... 23-year-old Mike was 5'11" X 218 way too small for ass Buster.

What a refreshing thread. Amazed no one has ever done it before. Maybe later on someone will point out how mikes career would have unfolded "if cus had lived". That would be an eye opening topic that often gets overlooked by Tyson fans.

Mike was responsible for his own career... He lost to Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield (twice), and Lennox Lewis - nobody else. They were all older than Mike... but they were all bigger, taller, stronger, and more skilled than him.

Holyfield headbutts Tyson; Tyson follows through with his elbows against Holyfield & bites him, but which one will cry to the referee & try to get out of the fight?
