Crolla v Linares
A lot of noise that this has now been agreed for September in Manchester. Another very tough fight for Crolla but I think he can nick it.

I think Linares may stop him in a cracking close fight.

Unfortunately I fear the same but I hope I'm wrong.95gerog wrote:I think Linares may stop him in a cracking close fight.
Re: Crolla v Linares
Another good fight involving Crolla vs a "Kevin Mitchell-killer", following the excellent stoppage of Baroso.
Certainly not a fight to moan about. Ring magazine have Linares at #1 and Crolla at #3 so the possibility is there that it could be for the Ring belt. Not guaranteed but stranger things have happened.
Could well be a slow start but when Crolla gets going it's hard to stop his momentum and the repertoire of punches he has are impressive to break down Linares, whose speed and variety should cause problems but whose vulnerability always has to be a concern.
Crolla will have to be alert, tactical and passionate in there. I'm really glad to see everything coming together in his excellent recent performances. He will beat Linares.

Pretty sure this is what Hearn was hinting at in last interview. Crolla not having an easy reign is he. Brilliant fight.
Re: Crolla v Linares
Linares fought beautifully against Antonio DeMarco until he was stopped on cuts, if he's half as good v Crolla then Crolla will lose on points in my opinion. I understand that a lot of time has passed but Linares on form is very difficult to beat

Is Linares close to full fitness then?
Re: Crolla v Linares
If Hearn can put on Brook v Vargas and Crolla v Linares unifications in successive months, this is very positive indeed.
I going for Crolla to win. He just seems to have physically matured at the weight. And he's injected some extra passion and intensity into his very solid boxing. This will not be easy and it is a superb fight, because if anyone can pick holes in the guard of Crolla, it's a fighter with the speed and combinations of Linares. Going for Crolla stoppage in an outstanding fight.
