Boxings shittest alias?

Post by Stuarty »

I ask this question because I was having a scan of the results and came across Steve Jamoye who's alias is apparently 'younger brother of Stephane'!! Is there a worse nick name?

I Kew a man called Tap Tap once, a pretty serious guy. No idea why he was called that. I'm going to find out.

That's Siza Tap Tap Makhatini who Glenn McCrory stopped in an exciting defends. Maybe related???

The OP may have killed this thread with his first post.... That is prob the worst I have ever heard.

However two awful contenders are:

Sugar Ray Clay Jones Jnr
Anthony 'the Future People's Champ' Joshua

Didn't realise he was a 'Tap Tap' as well?

I agree with the Joshua business, couldn't believe it when McDonald announced him as that on his debut, in fact I think he said 'FUTURE People's Champion'

Decent name that. It is possible to use that word without 'child' before it.

While we're on the topic of aliases, I always find it akward when the they're announced after the last name, such as Devon Alexander 'The Great' and Badou Jack 'The Ripper'

I was reading an article about the worst nicknames in MMA a couple of months ago. Can't remember their actual names but there was some funny ones.

One was called "Fancy Pants". Bit camp but not too bad. It got worse.

Another was called Pedro "The Pedro" and then his surname. He literally used his first name as his nickname. Unbelievable.

The best one though, which I think was #1 on the list, the guy called himself "Ho Bag"
