Any agree this is not his all, unless he vacates. Let's say has to defend vs. Drozd next. Pomoters cant agree and it goes to purse bids?

Purse bids = this fight will be in Russia. Only way out, vacate the belt.

He has a possible excuse in stepping up in weight to fight Haye for a big purse.

article:

Bellew believes his stature should be enough to tempt Drozd or Lebedev away from their comfort zone.

"I'm the biggest name in the cruiserweight division, it's as simple as that," he said.

Would they earn more fighting in the UK than they would fighting in the 'comfort' of Russia with Rybanisky $$$$?

I don't know anything about films. Is it feasible that bomber is the biggest name in the division because of the film he was in?

That's possible, but the big money is behind Lebedev.

If the purse bid winner says it happens in Russia, then he should go to Russia, or vacate the belt, it's simple as that, the rules are clear.

Which is why he was calling him out straight after his win.

It's is just me or is he showing weakness in suggesting he won't go.

He's always talked a good game and can be critisized but he did fight at the time the best light heavy in his own backyard. I've always thought Bellew was the fight anyone anywhere type.

Dunno if it's the Lucas Browne and adding at Wilder situations. I know they were both different situations but both huge fights that went to the sh1t pan.

He was interviewed on Toe2Toe on SKY. He has major concerns about boxing, and sport in general in Russia, due to all the recent doping scandals. Doesn't want to touch the place with a barge-pole. He's made his views pretty clear on drug cheats:

Genuine concern or convenient excuse? Put myself in his shoes, I wouldn't go either.

Will see in a couple of months. If he doesn't go to fight Drozd he is dropping the belt then.

Aren't these two Russians promoted by FW's mate Vlad ? Pure irony if Matchroom were to lose the purse bid and Bellew ends up vacating rather than travelling to Russia.
