Wilt Chamberlain vs Robert Wadlow (15 round title fight)

Post by Tomasino »

It's already established that Wilt was one of the greatest fighters to never step in a ring, so how would he do with 'Big' Robert Wadlow?

Another poster (mr controversal) gave me the inspiration for this thread by stating the fighting facts about Roberts height and reach. I also had no idea his fist was so big, no wonder he couldn't get fights against professional fighters. It was hard enough for Wilt with his little flippers.

To break it down for the casual boxing fans who know nothing of these two giants of the ring;

9' 1" vs 7' 2"
500lbs vs 300lbs

Of course I can only go with the obvious...Robert by KO2

There are a lot tall tales told in this forum..

There always have been, and there always will be.

It probably started with Jess Willard, followed by Primo Carnera....

But lately, we are without a doubt, reaching new heights.

Wadlow by KO no doubt. He is the potential fighter no one ever mentions, which is a shame. He was a blank canvas and could've been taught everything he needed to be a great, unlike Chamberlain who would likely forget he was a boxer and start his basketball moves mid fight. Wadlow with advantages in height, weight, reach, strength and fist size and given the right training he would've handed a beat down on the ball-dunking Chamberlain.

They won't reach the heights of Wilt Chamberlain. He was so tall and athletic he was able to skip on the water, and jump up to touch the crown on the Statue of Liberty. True Story.

Wadlow died aged 22, had lost much of the feeling in his legs. Anyone near that tall is pretty much just flat out disabled.
