Fury Fight Off
According to Tysons Twitter. Sprained ankle.
Re: Fury Fight Off
Shame but looks legit, pictures of the injury on Peter Fury's twitter, lots of bruising and swelling by the looks of it.
Re: Fury Fight Off
Pity. Hopefully not postponed too long.
Re: Fury Fight Off
Honest injury which is a shame but David haye also had honest injuries and camp fury overreacted.
Karma but it's a great fight and hope it happens

Christ that's more of a delay than I'd thought!GlobalBox wrote:Looks like sometime in October being talked about apparently.Stuarty30 wrote:Pity. Hopefully not postponed too long.
Re: Fury Fight Off
Apparently 6 weeks before he can start using it fully and then a camp I guess of 10-12 weeks againStuarty30 wrote:Christ that's more of a delay than I'd thought!GlobalBox wrote:Looks like sometime in October being talked about apparently.Stuarty30 wrote:Pity. Hopefully not postponed too long.

Bad feeling for weeks about this.
Re: Fury Fight Off

Re: Fury Fight Off
Had that feeling this would never take place , although I thought it would be Klitchsko pulling out
Re: Fury Fight Off
What a grim day!
I wonder if it'll end up in Germany.

Peter Fury says same venue. FFS I hope they wake up about ticket prices this time. There were about 15 different price categories last time and it was far too expensive.

Can't see how they can run again with the same prices. Not without the Sky PR machine bigging it up. Good day to bury bad news, though.Black Sam Bellamy wrote:Peter Fury says same venue. Re: Fury Fight Off
Anyone remember that scene in Escape To Victory where they had to break the Goalies arm so Stallone could get in?
Peter: Tyson, I want you to spar wearing these high heels today
Tyson: Why the fornicate would I do that?
Peter: Because we've sold 9 tickets
Tyson: But are the crotchless knickers really necessary?
Peter: Kellie Maloney will pay our expenses if you do.
Tyson: Oh
(Two minutes later)
Tyson: AARRRRGGGHHHH
Peter: It's a wrap.

Re: Fury Fight Off
The real question is, did anybody care about this fight in the first place?
Re: Fury Fight Off
Well, loads of us obviously.ILikeBeer wrote:The real question is, did anybody care about this fight in the first place?
I hadn't booked the travel lodge yet as I am wary of The Curse of the Big Fight. I was meaning to do it soon though, so glad I am a useless coin and keep on forgetting to do important things.
Re: Fury Fight Off
I wonder if he injured himself pissed up.
Re: Fury Fight Off
I'm probably (and usually) wrong, but I just get the impression he doesn't care about this

I can see the ankle is bad but who knows how he did it, going to raves, drinking (allegedly) in Manchester, its just not how you expect top athletes to act I guess
but hey, he's the champion of the world and no one can ever take that away from him so I guess its up to him.
At least we have Joshua to watch this weekend.......
